Colour, on a floor that defaults to black
Walk into any milonga and count the colours. Black, then more black, then a red dress that everyone will remember.

How to keep a floral tango dress serious
Scale and placement. A print that works on a garden dress reads as noise in low light and at speed. We choose densities that hold together in movement and stay legible from a distance, and we place them so the pattern follows the body’s line rather than cutting across it.
The cut then does the rest. A floral piece built on a tango silhouette — high waist, clean back, correct hem weight — reads as a tango garment that happens to have colour, not a summer piece pressed into service.
Where it works
